Worship Preparation-April 26, 2026

Hello Church Family!

This Sunday we gather to reflect on Mark 12:28-31
Below is a look at hymns we’ll be singing with lyrics and links to examples on Youtube.

Mark 12:28-31

One of the teachers of the law came
and heard them debating.
Noticing that Jesus had given
them a good answer, he asked him,
“Of all the commandments,
which is the most important?”
“The most important one,”
answered Jesus, “is this:
‘Hear, O Israel:
The Lord our God,
the Lord is one.
Love the Lord your God
with all your heart
and with all your soul
and with all your mind
and with all your strength.
’ The second is this:
‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
There is no commandment greater than these.”

1 Take my life and let it be Consecrated, Lord, to Thee; Take my moments and my days - Let them flow in ceaseless praise, Let them flow in ceaseless praise. 2 Take my hands and let them move At the impulse of Thy love; Take my feet and let them be Swift and beautiful for Thee, Swift and beautiful for Thee. 3 Take my voice and let me sing Always, only, for my King; Take my lips and let them be Filled with messages from Thee, Filled with messages from Thee.

Day by Day

1. Day by day and with each passing moment, Strength I find to meet my trials here: Trusting my Father’s wise bestowment, I’ve no cause for worry or for fear. He whose heart is kind beyond all measure Gives unto each day what He deems best. Lovingly, its part of pain and pleasure, Mingling toil with peace and rest. 3. Help me then in every tribulation So to trust Your promises, O Lord That I lose not faith’s sweet consolation Offered me within Your holy Word. Help me, Lord, when toil and trouble meeting, E’er to take, as from a father’s hand, One by one the days, the moments fleeting Till I reach the promised land.

Trust and Obey

Author: John H. Sammis

When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word, What a glory He sheds on our way! While we do His good will, He abides with us still, And with all who will trust and obey. Trust and obey, For there’s no other way To be happy in Jesus, But to trust and obey. Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies, But His smile quickly drives it away; Not a doubt nor a fear, not a sigh nor a tear Can abide while we trust and obey. Trust and obey, For there’s no other way To be happy in Jesus, But to trust and obey. Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share, But our toil He doth richly repay; Not a grief nor a loss, not a frown nor a cross But is blessed if we trust and obey. Trust and obey, For there’s no other way To be happy in Jesus, But to trust and obey.
