Worship Preparation-April 12, 2026

Hello Church Family!

This Sunday we gather to reflect on 1 Peter 3:13-18
Below is a look at hymns we’ll be singing with lyrics and links to examples on Youtube.

1 Peter 3:13-18

Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good?
But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are
blessed. “Do not fear their threats; do not be
frightened.” But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord.
Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who
asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.
But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a
clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously
against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed
of their slander. For it is better, if it is God’s will, to
suffer for doing good than for doing evil. For Christ
also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the
unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death
in the body but made alive in the Spirit.

We Will Be Singing

He Lives!

I serve a risen Savior He’s in the world today. I know that He is living, Whatever men may say. I see His hand of mercy; I hear His voice of cheer; And just the time I need Him He’s always near. He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today! He walks with me and talks with me along life’s narrow way. He lives, He lives, salvation to impart! You ask me how I know He lives? He lives within my heart. Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian, Lift up your voice and sing Eternal hallelujahs To Jesus Christ the King! The Hope of all who seek Him, The Help of all who find, None other is so loving, So good and kind. He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today! He walks with me and talks with me along life’s narrow way. He lives, He lives, salvation to impart! You ask me how I know He lives? He lives within my heart.

At the Cross

1 Alas! and did my Savior bleed, And did my Sov’reign die? Would He devote that sacred head For sinners such as I? At the cross, at the cross where I first saw the light And the burden of my heart rolled away It was there by faith I received my sight, And now I am happy all the day! 2 Was it for crimes that I have done He groaned upon the tree? Amazing pity! grace unknown! And love beyond degree! At the cross, at the cross where I first saw the light And the burden of my heart rolled away It was there by faith I received my sight, And now I am happy all the day! 3 Well might the sun in darkness hide And shut His glories in, When Christ, the mighty Maker, died For man the creature’s sin. At the cross, at the cross where I first saw the light And the burden of my heart rolled away It was there by faith I received my sight, And now I am happy all the day! 4 But drops of grief can ne’er repay The debt of love I owe; Here, Lord, I give myself away - ‘Tis all that I can do! At the cross, at the cross where I first saw the light And the burden of my heart rolled away It was there by faith I received my sight, And now I am happy all the day!

Nothing But The Blood

Author:Robert Lowry

1 What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus; What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. Oh! precious is the flow That makes me white as snow; No other fount I know, Nothing but the blood of Jesus. 2 For my pardon, this I see, Nothing but the blood of Jesus; For my cleansing, this my plea, Nothing but the blood of Jesus. Oh! precious is the flow That makes me white as snow; No other fount I know, Nothing but the blood of Jesus. 3 Nothing can for sin atone, Nothing but the blood of Jesus; Naught of good that I have done, Nothing but the blood of Jesus. Oh! precious is the flow That makes me white as snow; No other fount I know, Nothing but the blood of Jesus. 4 This is all my hope and peace, Nothing but the blood of Jesus; This is all my righteousness, Nothing but the blood of Jesus. Oh! precious is the flow That makes me white as snow; No other fount I know, Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
