Worship Preparation-April 19, 2026
Hello Church Family!
This Sunday we gather to reflect on Deuteronomy 5:1-6
Below is a look at hymns we’ll be singing with lyrics and links to examples on Youtube.
Moses summoned all Israel and said:
Hear, Israel, the decrees and laws
I declare in your hearing today.
Learn them and be sure to follow them.
The LORD our God made a covenant with us at Horeb.
It was not with our ancestors
that the LORD made this covenant,
but with us,
with all of us who are alive here today.
The LORD spoke to you face to face
out of the fire on the mountain.
(At that time I stood between the LORD
and you to declare to you the word of the LORD,
because you were afraid of the fire
and did not go up the mountain.)
And he said: “I am the LORD your God,
who brought you out of Egypt,
out of the land of slavery.

Holy, Holy, Holy
Author:Reginald Heber

Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee;
Holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity!
Holy, holy, holy! all the saints adore Thee,
casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea;
cherubim and seraphim, falling down before Thee,
which wert and art and evermore shalt be.
Holy, holy, holy! though the darkness hide Thee,
though the eye of sinful man Thy glory may not see;
only Thou art holy, there is none beside Thee,
perfect in pow’r, in love, and purity.
Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
All Thy works shall praise Thy name, in earth and sky and sea;
Holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity!
O For A Thousand Tongues To Sing

O For a thousand tongues to sing
My dear Redeemer's praise!
The glories of my God and King,
The triumphs of his grace!
My gracious Master and my God,
Assist me to proclaim;
To spread through all the earth abroad
The honours of thy name.
Jesus the name that charms our fears,
That bids our sorrows cease:
Tis music in the sinner's ears;
Tis life, and health, and peace.
He breaks the power of canceled sin,
He sets the prisoner free:
His blood can make the foulest clean:
His blood availed for me.
Hear him, ye deaf: his praise, ye dumb,
Your loosened tongues employ;
Ye blind, behold your Saviour come,
And leap ye lame for joy!
Rock of Ages
Author: Augustus Toplady
Rock of Ages, cleft for me, Let me hide myself in Thee;
Let the water and the blood, From Thy riven side which flowed,
Be of sin the double cure, Cleanse me from its guilt and power.
Not the labors of my hands Can fulfill Thy law’s demands.
Could my zeal no respite know, Could my tears forever flow,
All for sin could not atone; Thou must save and Thou alone.
Nothing in my hand I bring, Simply to thy cross I cling;
Naked, come to Thee for dress, Helpless, look to Thee for grace;
Foul, I to the fountain fly, Wash me, Savior, or I die!
While I draw this fleeting breath, When my eyes shall close in death,
When I soar to worlds unknown, See Thee on Thy judgment throne,
Rock of Ages, cleft for me, Let me hide myself in Thee.
